 Welcome

In 1899, the Baptist General Convention of Virginia was
founded in support of education, missions in Virginia, and missions beyond Virginia.  The Reverend C. L. Evans served as the first Executive Secretary for over 32 years.  The Reverend Cessar L. Scott, Sr., serves as the present Executive Minister.  A state of the art operations center, located on the campus of Virginia Union University (VUU), under girds our bridge to the future.  The operations center, funded solely by contributions of constituent churches, houses full and part time staff who continuously seek new and relevant ministry development.  In addition, Virginia One Church One Child, NAACP Virginia Chapter, Virginia Council of Churches, and the First Genesis Group all rent office space in our facility.
